The agreement between you and WeReportYourRent.
Last updated: July 5, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you," "your," "Customer") and WeReportYourRent ("WeReportYourRent," "we," "us," "our").
By creating an account, clicking "Start $1 Trial," or using any part of our website or service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You should read these Terms in full. The most important sections — particularly Section 3 (Trial & Billing), Section 9 (No Credit Guarantee), and Section 12 (Arbitration) — affect your legal rights.
To create an account you must:
One account per person. We may suspend or close any account we reasonably believe has been opened with false information, used to commit fraud, or used to report rent the account holder does not actually pay.
Plain-English Summary
By completing signup and clicking the "Start $1 Trial" (or equivalent) button, you authorize WeReportYourRent and its payment processor (Stripe) to:
The amount you will be charged after the trial depends on the plan you selected at signup:
| Plan | Today | After Jul 12, 2026 | Billing Cycle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $1.00 | $19.99 | Monthly, auto-renew |
| Premium | $1.00 | $39.99 | Monthly, auto-renew |
All amounts are in U.S. Dollars. Prices do not include any state or local taxes that may apply.
To avoid being charged the monthly subscription rate, you must cancel before Jul 12, 2026. You can cancel in either of these ways:
You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is processed. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us — your cancellation is not effective until it is confirmed.
The $1.00 Trial Activation Fee is non-refundable, even if you cancel during the trial. This fee covers the identity-verification, lease-verification, and bureau-onboarding work we perform as soon as you sign up.
If the initial $1.00 charge fails, your trial will not start and your account will not be activated. If a renewal charge fails after the trial, we will retry the charge up to three times over five days. If all retries fail, your subscription will be paused and we will stop reporting new payments to bureaus until billing is restored.
We may change our subscription pricing in the future. If we do, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the new price takes effect, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before being charged the new rate.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard or by emailing support. There are no cancellation fees or long-term contracts.
What happens when you cancel:
Refunds:
The Student Loan Aid add-on ($99/year, available on either plan) includes a $500 First-Year Savings Guarantee. This section governs that guarantee.
The promise. If you purchase the add-on, obtain a repayment-plan recommendation through the Student Loan Aid tool, and enroll with your loan servicer in the plan it recommends, and your scheduled federal student-loan payments over the first 12 months are not reduced by at least $500 compared with your prior plan, we will refund the $99 add-on fee in full.
How savings are measured. "Savings" means the difference between your scheduled payment total over 12 months on your prior plan and your scheduled payment total over the same 12 months on the recommended plan. It is a measure of payment (cash-flow) reduction, not a measure of total interest over the life of the loan. An income-driven repayment plan can lower your monthly payment while increasing the total interest you pay over the life of the loan.
Eligibility. To qualify for a refund you must: (a) hold an active Student Loan Aid add-on; (b) have federal student loans; (c) have obtained a recommendation through the tool; (d) have submitted enrollment in the recommended plan to your loan servicer; and (e) file a claim from your dashboard. The guarantee does not apply to private student loans, to members who do not enroll in the recommended plan, or to members already on the lowest-payment plan available to them.
How to claim. File a claim from the Student Loan Aid section of your dashboard. We may ask for documentation of your prior and current scheduled payments (for example, servicer statements). We verify each claim and, if approved, refund the $99 to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. One refund per member.
Other terms. Federal student-loan programs are administered by the U.S. Department of Education and may change. Eligibility and any payment change depend on your loan type, income, and family size. This guarantee covers the $99 add-on fee only; it is not a promise of any specific savings, loan forgiveness, or credit-score outcome.
WeReportYourRent currently offers two plans:
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.
WeReportYourRent is a furnisher of consumer-credit information under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.). By signing up you authorize us, under FCRA § 604, to:
We only report positive payments. We do not report missed payments, late payments, partial payments, or balances owed. If a payment is missed, we simply do not report that month — nothing negative is sent to the bureaus.
You can withdraw this authorization at any time by cancelling your subscription. Withdrawal does not require us to delete data already reported, which remains on your credit file according to bureau retention rules.
If you believe data we reported is inaccurate, you have the right under FCRA § 623 to dispute it. You can file a dispute directly with the bureau, or — on the Premium plan — through your dashboard. We will respond within 30 days as required by law.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe have violated these rules, and we may report fraud to bureaus, law enforcement, and Stripe.
The WeReportYourRent name, logo, website, software, copy, design, and underlying technology are owned by WeReportYourRent and are protected by U.S. copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose while your subscription is active. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the service without our prior written permission.
You retain ownership of the content you upload (such as your lease document). By uploading it, you grant us a license to use it solely to provide the service.
We do not guarantee any specific credit-score outcome. Credit scores depend on many factors that are outside our control, including your existing credit history, your other tradelines, the bureau and scoring model used, and your overall financial behavior. Adding on-time rent reporting helps many people, but results vary.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reported data will be reflected on every bureau report by a specific date. Reporting cycles depend on the bureaus' own update schedules.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will WeReportYourRent, its officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or damage to your credit, arising out of or related to your use of the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WeReportYourRent and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) your submission of false or misleading information to the service.
Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, with the following exceptions:
You and WeReportYourRent agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative action.
30-Day Opt-Out: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@wereportyourrent.com within 30 days of creating your account, with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your full name and account email in the body.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 12 (Arbitration). The FCRA and other applicable federal consumer-protection laws continue to apply regardless of this choice of law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email and post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after the update means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription before the new Terms take effect.
