User ownership

Users retain ownership of documents, text, images, files, and other content they submit, subject to the licenses and permissions needed to provide the Service.

Limited license

By submitting content, users grant WeReportYourRent and its service providers a limited license to host, store, copy, transmit, display, process, verify, analyze, retain, disclose, redact, and use the content as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, verify information, process payments, prevent fraud, respond to disputes, comply with law, and enforce policies.

Upload standards

  • Documents must be accurate, complete, legible, unaltered, and authorized for submission.
  • Users should not upload full payment card numbers, passwords, unnecessary medical data, unrelated third-party data, or documents they are not authorized to provide.
  • Files may be rejected if blurry, incomplete, suspicious, mismatched, password-protected, infected, altered, unsupported, or unverifiable.
  • We may request additional documents or reject reporting if documents cannot be verified.

Retention

Submitted content may be retained according to the Privacy Policy, Record Retention Schedule, legal obligations, FCRA-related audit needs, provider requirements, security needs, and dispute resolution needs.
