Acceptable Use Policy

WeReportYourRent policy

Permitted use

Users may use the Service only for lawful, personal, consumer purposes related to eligible rent reporting, account management, credit-related education, and other products WeReportYourRent makes available.

Prohibited conduct

  • Submitting fake, altered, forged, misleading, incomplete, stolen, or fraudulent documents.
  • Misrepresenting tenancy, rent amount, landlord identity, payment history, address, occupancy, or lease status.
  • Submitting information for property you own, manage, control, or do not actually rent, unless expressly allowed in writing by WeReportYourRent.
  • Impersonating another person, using another person's identity, or opening an account for another adult without authorization.
  • Using someone else's payment method without authorization.
  • Creating multiple accounts to abuse trials, promotions, referrals, disputes, refunds, or reporting workflows.
  • Attempting to bypass identity verification, landlord verification, payment verification, fraud screening, credit-bureau rules, or third-party provider requirements.
  • Uploading malware, scripts, spyware, ransomware, credential harvesters, or harmful files.
  • Scraping, crawling, reverse engineering, probing, load testing, vulnerability testing, or attempting to access systems without written permission.
  • Interfering with the Service, accounts, APIs, vendors, partners, affiliates, credit bureaus, landlords, or payment processors.
  • Harassing, threatening, abusing, doxxing, defaming, or misleading WeReportYourRent staff, vendors, affiliates, landlords, or other users.
  • Using the Service for credit repair, debt settlement, unlawful credit repair activity, deceptive advertising, or any purpose prohibited by law.

Enforcement

We may suspend, restrict, investigate, delay, deny, terminate, or refuse service if we reasonably believe a user violated this policy, created legal or compliance risk, failed verification, engaged in fraud, abused billing or refunds, or caused risk to us, our users, landlords, vendors, payment processors, Array, credit bureaus, or other partners.

No duty to monitor

We may monitor activity for security, compliance, fraud prevention, and policy enforcement, but we are not required to monitor all content or user activity.

Reporting abuse

Report abuse, impersonation, phishing, fraud, or security concerns to support@wereportyourrent.com. Legal abuse or law-enforcement issues may be routed internally to legal@wereportyourrent.com.
